Founder’s Note

I started YBC because I was that kid…building projects between classes, and pitching VCs while classmates were prepping for exams.

No one handed me a map. But I figured out how to navigate the system anyway.

Now? The world is evolving faster than ever.

With AI and emerging technologies shifting the ground beneath us, the gap between theory and application is growing exponentially bigger.

School teaches us how to solve for x. But rarely how to find the right problem, test an idea, or access the rooms where things actually happen.

I built YBC to be that missing bridge: the perfect gateway into startups, builder communities, internships, college incubators, and more.

The kind of headstart that encourages young talent to dream bigger, so that by the time the world catches up, they’re already driving change.

I founded my first company at 19 and won thousands of dollars in prize money at pitch competitions. That experience taught me something simple but powerful: momentum doesn’t have an age limit.

Sometimes, all it takes is the right environment…and a reason to try.

YBC exists because people bet on me early. This is my way of opening that door wider for the next generation of ambitious builders.

  • My introduction to “Belief Capital” - standing on stage the the U.N. Youth Assembly, pitching an idea born from passion (plus some sleep deprivation), and walking away with an unexpected but welcome Impact Challenge win.

    Lesson learned: audacity, and the right mix of conviction and caffeine can open doors you didn’t even know existed. August 2018.

  • Stood in a room full of student founders with impressive prototypes and polished pitches, and told a story about democratizing opportunity. It struck a chord. Walked out with the regional title and a flight ticket to nationals. 

    Grateful for the mentorship I received from the Entrepreneurs' Organization community at the Global Student Entrepreneur Award Regional Finals in Cincinnati. March 2022. 

  • The pandemic shut most doors but opportunity still had WiFi. Just me, my keyboard, and an unreasonably bold cold email.

  • YBC participants join us from all over the country!

    We host all our learning workshops, masterclasses, and mentor sessions virtually on Zoom.

    Depending on interest, we may organize in-person meetups in Bangalore, Delhi, and Mumbai.

    We’ve designed a primarily virtual experience with learning sessions over the weekend and pitch practice/fireside chats on weekdays after school.

  • From previous cohorts of the bootcamp, we’ve learnt that students prefer this structure.

    The 48-Hour sprint followed by a mid-week practice session and demos on Sunday allow students ample time to practice their pitch and become more familiar with the process of telling a story.

    Our goal is to ensure that students are completely confident in their ability to pitch by demo day, given the audience and panel of judges from across the world.
